“Let us start each day with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love”.
This is the most memorable quote my beloved classmate, friend, and family had spoken before ascending to the stairs of heaven. These lines captivated my heart and continued to motivate my mind to instill the grace and power of smiling. With this quotation, I realized the impact a smile can bring to an individual. It is not extraordinary but when we do it, this common expression changes the complexity of everything we feel and affects our philosophy towards different aspects of life.
As a youth, I’m fascinated by discovering heart-warming and inspirational moments that give us reasons to continue smiling. This might be simple but I believe that a smile can surely flip our world around and turn our stressful and boring lifestyle into a bountiful and meaningful life. A smile is a powerful expression that narrates a story, a sign of being a strong person, and always reminds us that we are blessed.
We experience countless life lessons from childhood to adulthood. These moral values can neither be positive nor negative but no matter what the consequences are, we ended up having lessons to learn and reflect. With these things, our eyes twinkles, our lips reached its apex, and we are smiling for every joy, triumph, and suffering we encounter in growing up.
Each smile sends us to a timeline tree which roots were flashbacks of life-changing moments we expeienced. The fruits we can harvest there are the attainments we collected through time. Smiling will always tell us stories that we can capitalize to become a better person.

Filipinos are one of the happiest nationalities across the globe. We are compared to bamboo grass that can be described as flexible and durable. Strong winds blow it down but no matter how powerful these forces of nature are, it will always go back to its original posture. Like them, we look helpless when disasters such as typhoons and earthquakes struck our nation but we never forget to smile. This presents our unbreakable persistence and an undying will to stand once again. We might be down but with our smiles, our hearts never stop conquering the impossible.
According to psychological studies, smiling in front of struggle shows how strong a person you are. Multiple challenges can lead to stress but for everyone to become successful, we defy all odds and it all begins in smiling. Smiling enlightens us to never back down because opportunities are waiting.

Smiling is a great gift that God gave us. This expression emphasizes our happiness towards everything we received. We continue smiling because we are still breathing; we can see our loved ones, and we continue to experience the different tones and colors of life. He blessed us so much from the things we need to survive up to the variety of glamorous gifts we wanted. Smiling as a part of our daily routine, we can express our big thanks to Him and for all the blessings He granted.
Most of the time, we look at a smile as a curve line underlying in our face whenever we are happy. We see it as simple but in reality, this powerful expression greatly contributes to our daily posture and complexity as a human person. Smiling presents a diverse set of positive effects that leads us to a more brilliant awareness of our world and unravel our true mission in life.
A smile is a powerful way of snapping our hesitations and worries. There are reasons why we are smiling such as telling our experiences that taught us life lessons; it symbolizes our strong heart against unmovable mountains and a great way to connect to our Father. We witness the mysteries behind our smiles and it is captivating. A smile is priceless and no luxurious thing can withstand its natural glamour, elegance, and beauty. It is the foundation of love and by knowing the power of a smile, it changed me a whole person. I’m a believer and I can say that it is a fortifying way to truly understand the true meaning of life and its harmonious rhythm.
