The Cloth We Wear

Past.
Present.
Future.
They differ
from one another
yet one can’t exist
without the other.

Past is before.
It’s the afternoon that
descends in twilight
as it settles down.
The “recent” that
holds back ’cause
it’s doubtful
and risky.

As after as present.
It’s the “current” that
keeps on moving as
the morning that
ascends and
shines like
the Sun.

Future is hopeful
as it’s full of promises.
That something that
fulfills our needs
and necessity.

They differ
from one another
yet they’re puzzle pieces
that fills the blank and
completes the entirety
of us and other that
exist and live.

They’re threads
weaved by life’s needle
to create cloth with sorts
of uniqueness and complexity.

Remember, we wear
them everyday as
they drive us to
our own different
destination someday.
