The Middle Way

As I look
At Yin and Yang,
I dream a dream
Of being in midway.

I don’t want to
Go extremes
Where only
The good, the light,
The day, and the right
Are the only things
That I could see.

Through my senses,
I want to experience
The bad, the dark,
The night, and
The wrong too.

“A piece of cake”,
They tell.
But no, being in midpoint
As what the words
Tell will never
Be easy
To translate into actions
As it will challenge
And make us struggle
Of choosing sides –
Right and good.

Yes! The journey
Towards the
Center
Of everything will
Never be easy
Yet that’s what
I’m looking forward to,
‘Cause I want a life
Where I could
Stand, speak, and
Do stuff halfway
Through things;

I want to leave
All of my biases
For the sake
of equality
That we keep on
Searching
And looking
For to achieve
Peace and
Unity;

I want to see
Joy and sorrow
Interacting
And mingling
With each other so
Are the contradictions
That build the world
We are living onto;

And I want to
Know the truth
Behind the good
And the bad
By seeing
Both ends of them.
Treating both
With fairness to
understand
The root of their
Very existence.

As I look
And go back
At Yin and Yang,
It makes me realize
That being in midway
Is possible as long
As you see things
In equilibrium.

We should always strive to be in the middle of things even if both extremes are trying to pull us toward them.
