Why Hope is My Favorite?

Hope
will always be
my favorite as it
sparkles and glitters
like the stars
and the moon in
the night sky,
amidst
the grueling darkness.

It’s the guide
that will never
leave you – for better
or for worst.

A gift
from God
that my soul will
forever cherish
and treasure as
it keeps me alive.
The oxygen that
I need to breathe.
The water that
satisfies my thirst.

A light
that shines
and spreads like
a wildfire.
A power
that can never
be stolen or broken
’cause it is designed
to hold on even if it’s
arduos and impossible.

Hope
will always be
my favorite as it
embraces and caters me.
It keeps on shining even
if things seem
to be a mere dream
’cause that is
what really hope is for;
to be your direction;
to be your guardian,
and to be you
at all, in the end.
