Yeah, I’m just a writer who scribbles word to create well-crafted sentences, coherent passages, and expresses a thought that may be typical or extraordinary to the senses of a dear reader but please, do not ever underestimate me and my writing journey.
I didn’t write to become popular, achieve fame, nor gain profit at the very beginning, I did it because I liked and loved it. Since then, my choice to write is always been the best decision I made in my life. Writing led me to a whole new world that I can consider as a “safe haven”. It’s the only place on this planet where I can freely spit out my opinions, share my thoughts and feelings with others who will listen, and appreciate the beauty of the reality amidst its chaotic and agonizing features.
I wish that I could stay in this world forever but no. In the real world, someone may need my voice to fight for them, someone may need my ears to listen to them, and someone may need my words to encourage and uplift them. I write not for money, fame, and power, but rather for those who need someone like me who will join them in their sadness, to their downfalls, and to every struggle they’re encountering. Writers’ purpose is not only to write but write for those who can’t because they can’t.
Don’t underestimate us. We may be a nuisance because of the low profit and uncertain future all of us have but we are strong and invincible because we write, we live, we fight, and we die for other people whom we want to empower because everyone deserves to live no matter what roots they come from because after all, our existence had its purpose.
Death will come for us but not for our works who will be remembered by those whom we laid our hands onto.
I write and other writers write because writing showed to us that our writings can change someone’s life so please, don’t underestimate us.
