Chop (We Let… Series Part 2)
Trees, trees, and trees, why do we chop you all?
Burn (We Let… Series Part 1)
A very, very late poem written for the helpless Amazon Forest found in Brazil as the oxygen it normally produces turned to a release of massive carbon dioxide deposit in the atmosphere in one shot big-time event – a wildfire.
From animals incinerated up to trees torched by the huge wildfire, this is a disaster that the public needs to know and worry about.
Young Us
I wish that when I wake up, I’m the young me again.
Why Hope is My Favorite?
Hope is your direction, your guardian, and you at all.
The Middle Way
Balance is defined by Merriam Webster as “to make equal in amount, degree, or status”.
In this poem, I explained and pondered why I want to achieve it.
Disturb
I’m alarmed by photos circulating in social media and news reports about mall goers and people going outside as the quarantine’s guidelines are slightly loosened by the government. In my POV, it seems like we are not disturbed anymore by the Covid-19 pandemic anymore and it sucks.
The main reason of going out? Boredom is striking us. How disturbing?
And Yeah,
Yes, I’m not alone ’cause you vanished the loneliness by joining me under the rain.
The Law
I wish our country know how to portray Roosevelt’s statement as well as “dura lex, sed lex.”
Ruined Humanity
Disclaimer: Based on true events of killings of farmers in Negros Oriental last July 2019.
I have no intention to bring hurtful memories to those family who loss someone. On the contrary, I wrote this to show the roaming violence and acts against human rights present in the Philippines.
